Saxemara Artist Studios is an artist residency in the village of Saxemara, just outside Ronneby in southern Sweden, that offers musicians, artists, writers and other creators a calm place to stay and work, close to forest and the sea.<\/span><\/p>\n

For an individual applicant, staying in an equipped private studio with access to all shared spaces, the cost is 400 euros per week (including tax). Each person covers their own food, travel, and materials.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is also possible to come as a group and have access to the entire site - for a recording session, writing workshop, or creative retreat. Five people can sleep comfortably, with space for an additional three on mattresses if needed.<\/span>\u00a0

In addition to the regular programme, specific free residency periods \/ open calls are also arranged, both on our own initiative and in collaboration with partners such as Region Blekinge and Saxemara Samh\u00e4llsf\u00f6rening.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Saxemara Artist Studios is built and run by John Duns\u00f6, who works as a project manager, musician, songwriter, and carpenter. John acts as host on site and can also help connect you with other cultural practitioners in the area if needed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Direct trains run from Malm\u00f6 to Ronneby every hour where you can be picked up by us. It is also possible to fly to Ronneby from Stockholm. If you are arriving by car, there is parking available.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
